There are a lot of good record sales places out there. Current favourite by far is On The Fringe. If anyone has ever worked in a HMV you might know my type. Bands should keep their influences to themselves I think. They should tell us who they sound like because when some straightforward garage rock band cites Curtis Mayfield as a reference point despite not straying for the slightest second from 1 + 1 = 2 riffage and bom-tsst-bom-tsst time signatures you're just disappointed.
